Default Egg embryo not moving

Hi,

I am new here!
I have a star tortoise egg incubated for about 90 days (30C, 70%)
I can see it developed through out the first 80days (with veins)
But in recent 10 days, I can't see it move anymore
the embryo size around 70-80% occupied
I can see veins in fresh red colour when I use a torch to see
I have a question, will the vein disappeard if the embryo died ?
As this is the first egg I ever have and the only one, I am very much worried
Hope you guys can help and give me some advice

When embryos get that big you don't usually see much movement so that's normal. Yes veins would go away if the embryo had passed away. They do go though when hatching is close

I don't know anything about stars, but asumming it should look the same as herman and Marginated, just before hatching, ( which I have hatched ) it looks like it's nearly ready to say hello to the world. Hopefully Danny can confirm this.

The inner clear membrane hasn't pulled down yet so not quite ready to meet the world. But it will be soon

"inner clear membrane " does it means the white circle on my second photo?
what will i see if the inner membrane pulled down? the white circle getting bigger and finally big enough to disappear?

That's good news, I was nearly right. Not long to go.

Yes that's the white circle It will eventually pull down enough to make the egg look empty when looking from the top. When that happens hatching is very close
This thread should be helpful http://www.shelledwarriors.co.uk/for...ad.php?t=49542
