Hello (sorry, long)
Hello,
I've been lurking on SW for about a week now and what an addictive read that is  Yesterday however, our tortoises arrived so I think it is time to introduce myself. Since I was a child I've had a soft spot for cheloniae, I had red-eared terrapins when I was a girl and also a tortoise, which I now think is a Horsfields (She lives with someone else for the past 30 years, but last I heard was still going strong )Having been tortoise less for too long my family (especially my 9 year old son) decided to think about having a tortoise. A friend of mine has 4 tortoises, 2 rescued ones and 2 he had hatched from eggs. However the 2 youngsters (13 years and 15 years old respectively) were both males, and the 3 males were a bit much for his female  , so he asked if the two younger males could come and live with me They arrived yesterday and are currently walking around in my sunny garden eating dandylion. They are spur thighed, but I'm uncertain of subspecies, will have to ask the experts when I take some pictures and master the technology uploading them.
