Default How sweet...any bird enthusiasts?

Anyone know what kind of baby bird this is? Our cat bought it in this morning.

We have called a wildlife & bird rehabilitation place but it came to voice mail and I dont think we will hear from them until tomorrow morning!
Anyone know how to care for it until then? We got one of those bird fat/seed square things, mealworms and have tried feeding it bread soaked in warm milk, he hasnt eaten anything
Any tips?

**oops, have I put this in the wrong section?**

Not that I can tell, some of his feathers have come out though! :/ On his wing, you can see in the pic. I think that would effect him flying. Plus he doesnt really fly when he tries, he kind of flaps 2" off the floor bless him.

Maybe his mum was teaching him to fly when the cat got hold of him. Is there a bird that keeps calling or hanging around at all?

Lynne, cant really tell, we live by the country and theres a LOT of birds and trees etc! Online it says to try and find a nest, but it would be like finding a needle in a haystack lol

Ross, I think so too!

Id say a baby robin too, i have hand fed baby zebra finches before and there is special hand rearing food you can feed with a syringe, you can mix some porridge up with warm milk and fed with a syringe, its probably really frightened and stress can easily kill a baby, so a nice warm dark room so it feels less stressed, awww how sweet x

It's very rare that a bird survives when removed from the wild. They suffer extreme stress that usually kills them. Don't be surprised if it's dead by morning.

Yeah Ive heard they are very hard to look after :/ Its just in a shoe box with some hay and I just peeked in and its okay...or at least it looks ok, it was asleep in the corner and then looked up at me. Where should I keep it tonight? It the shed or would it be too cold in there?
