i havent ever thought of this too much as i didnt 'plan' any eggs until a good few years down the line and i also wasn't sure if my lassy was mature for fertalisation...

anyhoooo

esmea was with bruce before he went off on an adventure =[.. i caught them 'surfing & turfing' many times a a few weeks ago and esmea has been pacing recently, i didnt think too much of it although after reading up on it is does seem as though she is displaying gravid behaviours...

i have not observed any test digging although i think this might be due to my set up..

i wanna make a 'nest site' (i know that she might not even use this as they are picky and can sometimes suprise even the most knowledgable owners). i basically want to know some tips for setting up a nest site within my enclosure.. (size isnt really a problem.. my new enclosure is huge!!) i also have spare combined bulbs to provide heat!

i have read that shredding up newspaper and adding this to a nest site is good as it imitates a bush and torts will feel inclined to nest in a hidden area?? is this a load of codswallop?

and also my set up seems more arrid than others.... how most should it be???!!

oh, esmea is a horsfield...

any help is greatly appreciated!!

even if she isnt 'up the duff' i still wanna make a good nesting site just so its there at all times and i dont have to worry about makign it later (i may also make a few dotted around!
