Default Help!!

i'm very sorry if this sounds silly but i havent applied for a job for a long time (currently in (VERY!) full time employment) and only ever applied for a handful of jobs in my short lifetime!!!

when i am applying (online) it asks for a covering message right before i upload my CV... is this basically a cover note?

is it space where i can basically sell myself? and say how great and professional i am?

thanks for anyhelp..

we have a cover note in our application forms, and its used for the person to match himself to the job and why, so look a the criteria its asking and the job description, and answer each bit it requests, if you have no job d or citeria then just match yourself to the general job and why

I think covering letters are expected these days - I know one of the girls on the ward at work applied for a promotion and didn't even get an interveiw as her covering letter was to basic.

I would research the company and basically let them know how impressed you are with them and tell them what you have to offer.

What type of job/company is it?
