My Hermanni Girls!

They are eating Mazuri Tortoises diet. They get it once every 3 weeks.

Chris beatuiful marked tortoises , this sub species is one i have never kept don't see them offered as much as boettgeri in the UK

They aren't common over here in the US either. To my knowledge, there is only one breeder who actually has true Italian T. hermanni. There are others who who have T.h.h. but I have seen pictures and even purchased them and they are not the same thing.

Wow they are spectacular! I would love to get a couple of her hermanni hermanni, but as Darren says they aren't seen for sale so much over here.

Thanks so much everyone! T. hermanni hermanni are not common at all anywhere and unfortunatley many breeders try to sell eastern hermanns as westerns. A lot of people fall for this and pay the extra money when they are only getting easterns. This is why I posted the thread at the top of this section on how to differentiate the two subspecies. Go read it and spread the word so we can prevent people from making the mistake.

There are some fantastic Pictures there. I paticularly like the Pancakes, Marginateds and the hermanni hermanni.
