I wouldn't say Bristol was that far north . even the one that was at chester zoo was still 250 miles south for me

we travelled from sussex to chester and made a weekend of it staying the friday and sat night, we camped so it didn't cost much, I doubt it would worth travelling far just for the sept free check but the midlands is pretty central to consider a meet. There must be a few members who live near enough to come in sept and there is a cafe there, it would be nice to have a chat and meet people, or at least I think so and its a real treat to see so many different torts, there's usually at least 100 turn up.

Maybe we could have 2 regional meets(south west-Bristol, south east-London, Central-Birmingham, Wales-Cardiff, North East-Newcastle, North-West-Manchester, Scotland-Inverness maybe as it's central) a year and 1 national meet in the midlands. The problem is time, money and convenience. These events would need people donating their time and you already have the tortoise groups as it is. Nice idea, but can't say it happening.
