Hibernation - help please
Just coming up to our first hibernation and very keen to get things right. We have 4 x3 year old spurthighs and want to use the fridge method. Long term plan is to breed so wondered whether to buy an 'exo terra' incubator and use for hibernation, since will need it in a few years to incubate, hopefully. Does anyone now if they are good for hibernation and how many tortoises would fit in? Thanks

most are very small and will only hold youngsters so its not worth using them for hibernation, far better to look out for a second hand or free (freecycle.org) fridge without an ice compartment. It will need to be run for a few weeks before use to get the temp right but you can always use it for other things when its not being used by the torts.
