That's scary. I don't see any mention of ambient temperature or even base temperatures...
This is exactly the point I'm sure I've addressed in the pass. I wonder how many of those that complemented the advice followed it... I also wonder about the results of those that did follow that advice. Quote:

I have plenty of room to offer advice because I believe I have a full understanding of why tortoises hibernate and the process that forces them to do so.
It seems that those who follow the dogma that tortoises must hibernate really don't understand the exact reason or the process the tortoises follow. These same 'knowlegable' keepers seem to be threatened by any idea different than their own and usually resort to demeaning behavior as a result of the insecurity they have in the advice they present.
