Red Foot Tortoise
While going to check on my tortoises this morning I was surprised to find this.
The egg was still slimy. It was curious the tortoise did not nest. The egg is probably no good but will be incubated regardless. That tortoise was 7 inches when it was first obtained about 8 years ago. It is now almost 12 inches SCL. It is a Cherry Head Red Foot tortoise fed nothing but Mazuri and whatever it can find. That grass is my first attempt to get some cover in that pen after 5 years. Red Foots do graze.

That's a very good looking tortoise Ed, one of the best redfoots I've seen.

I'm proud of them. I'll get around to a Red Foot group post one day.
Thank you.

Such a stunning tortoise and with a lovely smooth shell. Let us know whether the egg is fertile or not. Fingers crossed it will be.
