Love the swimming pool, do they live outside permanently or do they have to go into a shed or anything at night. Do they require heat and uv lighting?

Great pics! Box turtles are exremely fond of water and usually are never found far from it in the wild. Mine live with my North American Wood turtles therefore they have access to a pond at all times and there is always atleast a few of them soaking, and enjoying the cool water. Some of mine actually act like aquatic turtles at times and often swim and look for food items in the shallows.

8) This male climbed up the water fall to look out and see out, he turned around and went back down, some have gone off the fall but they have a very short drop right into some shallow water. He stayed there for a long time as the water ran through his legs and under his plastron.

My boxies live outside all year round. Hibernating themselves when the time comes. I know
they are gradually winding down, as they are not eating food I put out for them. Just the insects
they get in their enclosure.
