The rat has probs come from your toilet... it happens... even upstairs toilets!! Thats the most obvious thing I can think of!! |

They can squeeze through the tiniest of holes. Have you informed the vet it's probably a rat bite? Rats carry such awful diseases - perhaps your turt will need antibiotics or a shot of something.

ive just got back from the vet i got a call at 10:00 o'clock saying after seeing the picture of the wound he would see her in his own time he took a x-ray of her and gave her a antibiotic injection and took some blood and told me to dry dock her till she picks up with warm soaks twice a day it cost £94 but am just so thankful that she has been seen

I'm glad you got to see the vet; hopefully the injection will help prevent infection and she'll start to heal and feel better.

How scarey is that for both your tort & you. glad the culpret has now been 'despatched' Not to scare you, but you will have to keep your eyes open as no doubt there could be more rats about.

we called the rat catcher out today and he found a hole in the drain pipe that has now been fixed. so am hoping thats the end of the rats getting in
