Food is an issue with all animals it determines there health and weight. We should all be doing our best to imitate there natural habitat that includes the seasons and how that effects food availability.
Unlike most animals tortoise do not normally show any signs of being ill until it is to late, I am grateful that I have been corrected by a professional today had we carried on he would of suffered and maybe even the worse could of happened. I would keep an eye on this weight gain Herpard and if she gains anymore a trip to the vets wouldn't hurt |

The best person to talk to is Terrypin - he keeps good records of ages/weight with his Leopards.
I have 5 but dont know the true ages of any of them so it is difficult to gauge. I have an approx 6 year old who weighs 6 kgms she is 15" and an approx 4 year old who weighs 2.9kgms(6.4 lbs) and is 9" Lillie is 9 years old - she weighs 4.5 kgms and is 13" Last edited by Evie; 13-04-2010 at 02:11 PM. |
