Default a little worried

Hello all,

Im a little worried that my baby tort woke up early this morning (as he went asleep on the hot end) and that was about 9am, We left him at 10.30am to go to a funeral, We have just got back, and he hasnt moved from where he woke up.

Ive just given him a bath (10mins) and he walked upto the cool end and is now just sitting there.

He has 1 other day where hes not moved all day (that was 1 day last week ) ive had him 4 weeks

He has now put him self to sleep, 5.30pm. He like didnt move from the spot where he woke up for 7 hours. Hes hardly touched his food.

Should I be worried?

I wouldn't worry too much if it's not every day, 4 weeks isn't that long either. One of mine didn't eat for 7 weeks when I first got it, only a nibble every 5 days or so. One thing they don't like is change, change anything and they can be unsettled for days.

With it being colder outside it affects the room temps and my torts have moved a lot less and eaten a lot less yesterday even though the basking temps are just the same. I can never understand this but that is what always happens, maybe an inbuilt sensor or something it's the same on rainy days, they know it even though they are indoors, perhaps they can sense the air pressure or something

As Alan has said, don't worry too much if it is just the odd day, Baron's mood seems to be very dependent upon the weather outside! Today is very very rainy, and he hasn't moved from under his light yet apart from a small nibble of food and then back to the heat!

I think it's the tort version of S.A.D!

Gem, I think mcsmichelles has quoted her temps in fahrenheit, which I think works out about the same!

Yeah I would agree with the fahrenheit temps I would highly doubt it being in celcius
And yeah mine tort seems to do the same things, when the days are gloomy and stuff she doesnt move about that much... But today its really nice and sunny and she's just like "Let Me Run About The House!!"
Also since friday she has eaten fine

my pair have hardy moved today either, just to the food dish and back to the lamp. They definitley must can sense low pressure. It's been a nightmare of a day here today lashing down all day, snow just a couple of miles up the road and we might get it yet
