A lump on a red foots back leg

Hi

Ive woken up to find my red foot as a rather large lump on his left back leg.

Could this be serious?

Ive called my local vets who are normaly great but today have been totaly differnt and have refused to see him.

Does it look red?
Is there any smell or discharge coming from the lump?
A pic would be a good idea
