she's around 55 years old and not seen a tortoise since she left the pet shop - i love this tortoise to bits she is lovely my biggest whitei at 4.5kgs but also the biggest wimp - if she must stay alone i would feel much happier knowing she has the run of someones garden rather than being stuck in some kind of enclosure at mine - after all its whats best for the tortoise, my feelings should'nt come into it !!

Dazza excellent post and great progress hope it works out full time for her.

As Sandy said and as we discussed on the phone about I think this female perhaps she needs her own space not mixing with others, there is a chance it will come back almost 100%, I would if you keep her on her own except if you wish to pair her but even this will bring on RNS i'm sure.

So glad you used the Nebuliser this is going to be the way forward in treating RNS symptom for teh future I'm sure and a lot cheaper

Hi Guys,

I was amazes at this way of treating RNS when Darren told me about it, it made a lot of sense, that the tortoise is in fact inhaling a product which will kill the bacteria, and that same bacteria is hidden in all the respitory syatem, and sometimes baytril cannot get to these areas, which is why F10 nebulised is really sucessful.

Is there any specific nebuliser we as tortoise keepers should be looking for?

I am looking for one myself to have for treatment should RNS make an appearance.

Thanks Dazza for the post, your idea of using the polystyrene box is great. I hope you have got the old girls RNS treatment under control at long last, she sounds like a fantastic tortoise, have we seen her?

I'll post some piccys shes not the prettiest tortosie in the world but her character is spot on !!

I will put that nebuliser on my website - well not that exact one but that model - but there are cheaper ones in the market place - and they all do pretty much the same job

Dazza, I am not sure if you have spoken to Di on TF, as she is the one who has problems
with her Whitei and RNS. Worth a post to her.
I got my nebulizer off ebay for about ten pounds, second hand.
