Other than feeding correct food and supplements i changed his substrate, but then that's a great start. But come spring it'll be a different story, outside with lots of room to move about lots of fresh plants / weeds, lots of natural warmth and uv. Just need to make a new outdoor home as mine was only big enough for one tortoise so need to make a bigger and better one.
Following in the hope I can help him more, but I guess the damage unfortunately is already done but really want to improve his future growth and well being xxx
Sounds good. You can see how he gets on during winter too. Re your other mention xrays, tbh if vet is relaxed about it I wouldn't bother, it won't tell you much more than perhaps you already know and far better IMO to watch his behaviour now. See how he goes, sure it will be fine with good home and tlc CB

Just an quick update on Hermione- she is now in a bigger table, and has her first ever UVB/heat lamp! Temps are between 31-33 degrees and she LOVES it! I love watching her stretch out under it first thing in the morning! She's eating/ drinking/ pooing well. I got her some nutrabal and limestone flour thanks to peoples' advice, and she has daily baths. It's early days but I think she's walking better- the soil is kinder to her little feet, and she's lifting herself up a little more. Really appreciate all the advice! She's not outside yet because I want to keep an eye on her... X

I rehomed a torte that looks deformed and has MBD, TBH Ive just looked after her the same way as anyone else would look after a torte that looks normal. Done everything right, feed her on the correct diet and she never looks like she is having any problems. Whats done is done nothing can be done to reverse it so we just have to do the correct things now.

You can see her here, on the side view you can see her sunken shell but she is fine lives a great life https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Abt1C3Ot0cU

You can also see it here when in the bath https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDIn...1&feature=plcp

Your torte will have a great life with you, you have done lots of reading and asking lots of questions thats the way to go.

Thanks for sharing those videos, your tortoises have a lovely home and look really relaxed. It's good to know they can live happy lives after a bad start. I will post some pics of Hermione when I can figure out how!

I so enjoyed the videos.

Terri is obviously very special with such a unique shell and the most amazing voice!

They are very lucky to have such a wonderful home. All that fresh food.....

Thank you
Jan
