Default Re: TORTOISE WELFARE CONFERENCE 2015

Any one planning on going to this?

The schedule looks very interesting in particular being a new keeper is the talk by Zoe Bryant.

Zoe Bryant: London Zoo ZSL reptile team member will be joining us to talk about their conservation and welfare work relating to Chelonia including enclosure design, studies and species enrichment.

I'm going along with some other people from Berkshire Tortoise Club, looks like it's going to be a great event.

Frances Bains who is an expert on uvb and tortoises is speaking. Also Ed Pirog who was at one time one of the most frequent posters on this forum. Sadly I can't justify a trip from Glasgow to Colchester at this time.

That is a shame, I am going and was hoping to see one or two members off the forum and put names and faces together.

Hi if you search google for tortoise convention 2015 all the details can be found on there.

Although I was told it was in Colchester before I booked so I have booked into the recommended hotel. (Preferential rates if you go to the convention)

Apologies Tortoise welfare conference 2015.
It is held at Colchester Zoo. Hopefully we will have time in the lunch break to see the tortoise enclosures.
