is there any way of telling if the eggs are fertile? or is it a wait and see game

As Jess says you can candle them in a very dark room on med torts you can see the ring of life at about 10 days or so but not sure about hinges im sure Danny will know

Eggs will chalk the same as Med. tortoise eggs but you may not see the ring of life that early. The best way to tell if the egg is fertile is the yolk will settle to the bottom of the egg. This will make the top half of the egg look fairly clear and the bottom half will be orangey yellow.
