Congratulations & very well done I hope it works out for you.
My daughter aged 32 just qualified in spring and she cannot get a job for love nor money.
She got a 1st from Uni in Design Technology then went to work to get some money together bought a little house. Then she studied on OU to get her teaching cert, passed couldn't get a teaching post. She kept in touch with theaching & took her Masters in teaching or whatever the next qualification is? she still cant get a post. They say she has no expirience. She is desperate to become a teacher and would make a great one too boot. Bless her she is now so very very upset we cant talk about with her as she gets so upset.
Has anyone got any suggestions on how to help.
She cant take supply teaching posts as she needs to pay her mortgage so needs regular income.
PLease dont think this is a sour grapes type post I am just deaperate to help her.
Thanks and sorry to detract from your joy.
Sue

try supply or volunteering for one day a week, supply is good money and there are lots of agencies around, this gets the experience up. Also spend slot of time on the application and really concentrate on the things the schools looking for. But the best bet is to get experience even if it is only one day a week, otherwise no experience will really work against her.

Yeah I know, I didn't think I would start until November, but its the second the second time the position has been advertised as they couldn't find anyone suitable the first time. I met all the children today, very excited for Monday now!
