Default Built My New Outdoor Enclosure, Completed pictures on page 2!

It recently dropped abit quieter at work so I finally got chance to cut the timber for my outdoor enclosure. It measures 16ftx7ft, split into 2, one side for my russian tort, one side for my leopards (while they're still small anyway)... I dropped some corners ontop aswell for somewhere to sit while watching them, suprisingly comfy too!

Russian side (there is a plastic mesh coated 'cage' buried about 8" down an fastened to the sides to stop any escape attempts) Theres also an inch of rock buiried too to try an retain abit of moisture to keep the soil nice an damp for burrowing...

Leopards side, there will be some turf put in there soon when I get chance to order some for them to graze on...

(The tree surround also need painting, I'll pop out now an do that...)

This is what Ralph thought to it...

Just got to finish it off with a hinged lid now to stop birds/cats stealing them, other then that I'm about finished! Really chuffed with it. I had the torts out all day sunday an they seemed to suddenly come to life, was an incredible transformation to their behaviour. I'll post more pictures as I get more done...

Cheers,
Tom

You have made a beautiful job of that enclosure, well done. Are you going to add a hide or two for some shelter?

Ha, I think N.Irelands abit far afield for this weekend. Bindi, the covered corners also act as a retreat/shade for cooling down which has worked out nicely, but yeah, more ornaments/shelters plants an stuff will come over time.
