Update on George, it's not good. After he perked up after the vets he seems to be going downhill again. I am now pretty sure it's the lingocel as he passed more today and it was really dry. He looks like he is struggling to open his eyes, he is realky dehydrated and his Cloaca still seems open and has discharge. The vet has given me baytril to give him every other day and I am giving him honey baths 3 times a day. He is so poorly that I am going to bath him every few hours now. He is back to the vet on Monday, I hope he doesn't give up I don't know what more I can do for him.

Thinking of you and George. I really hope the Baytril kicks in and helps to get rid of any infection the ingested lingocel may have caused.
Plenty of baths will hopefully help with the dehydration. Did the vets do an x-ray to check there's no impaction? Just a thought. Keep fighting on - I'm keeping everything crossed for you that George will turn a corner and start to improve.

Thank you. No he has not mentioned an xray yet. He said he might do a blood test on Monday.

Oh no I'm so sorry to hear that he's worse, I'm afraid I don't know what to suggest, let's hope Danny can help.

Mineral oil/baby oil enemas should help make everything stuck up there easier to pass. An x-ray at the vets would be a good idea.

Thank you Danny. Jeez the vet made it look so easy getting his mouth open for his antibiotics. I got there in the end. His baths are definitely helping he looks more hydrated today and has weed lots which must be a good thing. Just wish he would ear as he has lost 64g in a week. Wouldn't even touch a strawberry.

If he is bunged up with this stuff, or just plain constipated, this is what I did with my very constipated 2 year old tort, baths 3-4 times a day warm water enimas 3-4 times a day, it took about a week to two weeks, she was very poorly, and wouldn't eat or walk, or anything. Then one day, it all started chugging out of her, after about an hour , she had done a poop as long as herself, and was so much happier and started to eat again.
