Default Table lining

hi guys,

were having a issue with mould/rot on the bottom of our tortoise table, the table is on the floor so there is no air getting to it.

We have a new table arriving soon, what is the best thing to stop this happening? we are going to raise the new table with the old table to try and let some air in, what can we use? even just to put under the water bowl.

Thank you.

No bother, it was someone on here that had used it in their homemade table, my dad had enough left over from his pond to fit the drawer i converted.

I've lined all my tables and vivs with pond liner for about 10 quid the lot, even stapled it along the top and used contact glue to stop dirt getting down the sides

It's also possible to use tough yacht varnish and do several coats. This protects the wood and if we do the job right it is also safe for the tortoise.
