Default treats for harry potter??

Hi all, was just wondering if it would be ok to give harry potter (our 1 year old horsfield) occasional treats such as the odd strawberry (no leaves), cherry tomato or perhaps a small piece of pepper? Also do they like / can they have small amounts of butternut squash?

Thanks x

about once a month people say. I'm not sure that it does them any good or harm but too much can give them the sh*ts

My personal opinion is that treats are really about the keeper feeling good. But that's not a bad thing. I would suggest make it very occasional. Squash is alright though.

Squash was thought to be a natural wormer because it's related to pumpkin but pumpkin isn't a natural wormer either, only the seeds are and even then only outer coating of the seeds

Well, I tried him with the smallest strawberry I could find and it was the funnest thing watching him first inspect it, then prod it and finally stick his claws in and eat the lot, I had to give him an extra bath afterwards as he got it all over his face, head, neck and claws. He seemed to really enjoy it, but like you all said I think i'll leave it to a very occasional treat.

Thanks everyone!!
