stark warning be careful of hidden debris in enclosures
I share this as a warning. This afternoon my five year old horsfield passed away. When I found him he was tangled in the remains of a small piece of garden netting. It had become twisted and therefore tightened around his throat several times and death was due to either strangulation or loss of blood flow I would imagine the latter. Obviously I feel awful and ask all to be aware of these dangers and check your enclosures for any potentially dangerous items.

I agree. This was a very small piece no bigger than your hand my neighbour had been using it on his veg patch a week earlier, a small fragment must have found its way into my tortoise enclosure.
