I think when i am brave enough i will have to go with the fridge method but having read on another forum about a very experienced keeper who has always hibernated naturally but due to weather conditions decided to use fridge method for the first time and has lost two much cherished torts despite fridge being monitored i am still undecided

CB has given a more full answer. I was just thinking dehydration. Hibernation guides all say to get the tortoise up if it pees.
