Just be careful you don't cry when you pick her up!

A brilliant service. I bet you can't wait to get Terri home.

Well she is back safe and sound. Rubbish photo Ill get a better one tomorrow when I bath her.

I have noticed at the top end you can still see the flesh inside not sure if this is right, didnt notice it until I looked at the photo, didnt want to stress her out by having a good look. I will get a better photo tomorrow and send it to the vets just to make sure although they are happy with her eating drinking straight away, pooing and having a wee.

Fortum injections. Not looking forward to giving these bad boys

Thanks for that, Saturday is the first one GULP Im sure it will all be fine, infact I was watching youtube videos of people giving tortes injections last night just for a little more info.

Im terrible like that, always want to know everything before I try it myself.

As for the vets I can highly recommend them really put me at ease but it was that honesty as Ive said not many honest people in this world now.

Just checked the wound and all looks great, Terri eating like a pig again, you wouldnt think she had any problems at all.

Just give first injection, went well although she was fighting me all the way, I cant believe how much effort it took to hold her leg out, she is really strong so thats a good thing.

She has been struggling to poo though, it could be due to swelling although I cannot see any. I phoned the vet and they told me to give her 1mm liquid parrafin to 1mm water, I was informed this could be bought in any chemist BUT it cannot, not any more, Ive been to loads of them and cannot find it anywhere, infact its not recognised now in this country for use and they advice use of Lactulose instead.

I even tried a vet down the road from me and they no longer stock it either and they told me I could possibly use Lactulose and give me some for free but advised only to use it after consulting my vet first as the dose might be different. Really kind off them though to help me out like that.

Well done on the first injection. The rest will probably seem a bit easier now you've done it once. They have such strong legs don't they?!

I'm sure the lactulose will be fine diluted. I'm sure I've read about its use somewhere before. It may be worth doing a search on the forum.
I doubt you'd want to wait for delivery but you can purchase liquid paraffin online. http://www.chemistdirect.co.uk/liquid-paraffin/prd-4r

There are quite a lot of threads regarding the use of lactulose. This is just one of many that came up on the search, so I hope you'll find them useful.
