Default Overfeeding?

We have three year old spur-thighed tortoises and are worried about over feeding. They eat mainly sow thistle, dandelions and forget-me-nots. Will they just eat what they need or could we be overfeeding by keep replenishing supplies?

I think they eat what they need, my spurthighs always leave a lot of food, they don't eat half as much as my greedy horsfields x

I agree with Bev, you can't really over feed on weeds and flowers. But I do think you need to add more of a variety to the diet. What you have listed there is very limited.

Hi and welcome to the forum Agree with Bev and Suze - it varies from day to day and how warm it is, but they generally eat what they want

Your garden probably has ribwort plantain and it is a really good tortoise food with a great proportion of potassium and calcium. An excess of dandelion is not a good thing.

If you post photo there is usually lots of help on the forum with identifying weeds you might find in the garden.
