Shelley laid eggs
Hi all my 8 year old female herman has laid her first clutch of eggs there was 2 in all this is her first lots of eggs and has been kept with a male and 2 other females all same species
She started digging the other day so I took her away from the others and placed her on her own She was also making a funny noise, I could not settle in bed and got up to see her And she had dug a large hole And bingo I watched I fact did a video of her giving birth so to speak. Now what do I do as I carnt leave them as they are. And I only have a chicken egg incubator. I was not expecting this Any help appreciated x |

I have used a Brinsea incubator to hatch my tortoise eggs, just took out the rotating parts, so you may be able to use your chicken one.

You will need to put a dish of water in to creat humidity, it needs to be about 75% humidity and 32oC for females. So you will need a hygrometer and digital thermometer . With the dish of water, a large surface area will create more humidity than a little deep pot with a small surface area.
