Default Arcadia bulb has blown - HELP

My basking light has blown. Its an arcadia d3 100w and I have only had it since April. I see there is a years guarentee so I have emailed the company I got it from - Essex Reptile online - twice with no response as well as copying in Arcadia Reptiles email address.

Can anyone suggest what to do next as Petey is not getting the correct UVs at the moment and dont want it to go on too long

Hopefully someone will be along with good advice soon, but regarding the UV you can use the nutrobal (I know its not that you use but another equivalent) more often as it will have the D3 he needs till you sort out his bulb...

I would try Swell Reptiles in future as they were great with returns when I had a problem with my Arcadia Halogen basking lamp last month. I know that doesn't help you now but just thought I would mention it as there is no need for any of us to put up with poor service like this when there are decent retailers out there.

I had issues with zooplus a few weeks back so they are another retailer which I will now not use since discovering Swell!

Thanks for the recommendation. I just really want to get this sorted as soon as possible. Suppose it does show you the difference in shopping online as I cant just pop down and see them. The local shops here will charge between 15 - 25 quid more for the same bulb

if you have a phone number for the company you bought the bulb from try calling them you might get more response. I have bought from both zooplus and surrey pets (don't know if they are still there) and both offered quick replacements. One thing I will suggest if that if you can afford it to buy a spare for times like this, I had a few spare bulbs after a while.

Make sure your plugs for your lights are plugged into a surge protector plug. A sudden surge may cause bulbs to blow. xx
