Urgent, advise needed
Hi all, A long time since I posted but today much to my surprise my horsfield Poppy laid two eggs in her outside run, there is a small possibility that they may be fertile as she broke into the boys run a while back. As I do not have an incubator or anything prepared should I leave them in the ground tonight and sort something out tomorrow or should I dig them up?
It is very warm here in Cornwall at the moment, even at night but would they be better brought in in a temporary way until I can get an incubator, I've been looking online at homemade incubators, I think there is also information on here...Help

I think normally you can leave them in the ground for a day or two but as the temps are so high at the moment I am not sure if that is ok as they may start to develop, if they were mine I would dig them up and leave them in a cool (not cold) place out of the sun until you get the incubator set up and stablized
Danny may say the complete opposite, in which case take his advise not mine! |

Thank you for that, I was hoping they would be okay for a couple of days, I will shade them tomorrow first thing to protect from the intense heat and get an incubator sorted asap

I seem to remember a post on how to make your own incubator on here somewhere but can't seem to find it, does anyone have a link to it or advise on how to put one together, I have polystyrene boxes if these are any good?
