Looks a bit like a tree but could be a willow herb

It also looks like the beginnings of a tree to me but being in Malta it could be something we don't get in the UK

It looks a bit like an Hibiscus. I would wait and see if it flowers.

I never know what any of Rocio's and MeImNot's plants are!
Its that Mediterranean basin, it just has so many plant species. Show me a weed that grows in Scotland and I'll put a name to it.
