Default tortoise trough

My torts walk all over their food and tread it into the soil so I thought I'd try one of these, they are for putting hay in for rabbits, does seem to keep it cleaner and they don't mind reaching up.

That's an interesting idea, they would have to reach and stretch in the wild \I would think My guys tend to march their food around too - drives me potty Would there be any danger that they could get their head stuck in between the bars if they were after a tasty morsel at the back?

I'm keeping a close eye on them, so far so good but it is something I am bearing in mind.

Tortoises actually have to tug and pull at their food, so it keeps their muscle and beak in trim:0) They will put their feet on and pull their food.

Interesting idea, I would think once the food that's sticking out gets eaten it might be a little difficult to get the remainder behind the bars, great idea though, I often pick whole sow thistle plants so this would work very well for whole plants and I've got one of those bird feeder cage x
