Banners and Sigs
As much as we love all the banners and signatures members use to show a bit of individuality, alot seem to be getting bigger and bigger. This can be quite distracting when trying to quickly read posts especially when people are viewing the forum using their phones etc.
For people with slow connection speeds their pages will take ages to load especially if they have their settings set to clear their cache after every browsing session. Another problem is that the majority of people probably have a bandwidth download limit from their ISP and may end up having to pay extra. Therefore could all members make sure their banners and signatures are no bigger than Kelly's (Stells) We' re also asking people to refrain from using animated sigs as these too can be very distracting Thank You __________________ |

No. but they can be removed permanently
Many people use phones now and who wants to be downloading 50 megabytes every page and using up their phone allowance just because of other people's sigs? |

NOOOOOOO! I love the animated signatures, especially Xero's as I have commented on, and as it is completely optional whether you see them or not the direction of this post is completely baffling to me? I do not wish to argue with the mods as you are doing a fantastic job, free of charge, on a brilliant forum but as they say shurely shome mishtake? All people on phones or with lower bandwidths have to do is click 'Quick Link' then 'User Control Panel' then 'Visible Post Elements' then untick show signitures or show avatars as appropriate - hope this helps

I'll miss tortbabe's glitter signature if she has to get rid of it.
