Light gurantee
How long would you expect Exo Terra to gurantee a Halogen basking spot bulb (100w) for??I bought the bukb on the 18/3/13 and now it does not work properly. It flickers and does not go on then next thing works? Yes have tried in 3 lamps and the same thing and the lamps are ok with other bulbs. I went back to the shop I purchased the bulb and they said its only a week, so much for trying to give a local shop some business

If its not a combined bulb aka, Mercury Vapour bulb...then as far as I know there isn't any guarantee. At least I've never heard of one...xx

I'm not even sure Exo Terra offer one for their own combined bulb range (the Solar Glo) but could be wrong...xx

It was a halogen so its not like my Arcadia combo which has a 1 year gurantee, its just that it cost £16, and just over 1 month and thats it gone not HAPPY

You could try taking your receipt and the duff bulb and just ask where you bought it from, Meacy. As a goodwill gesture they might exchange it for another? Worth a try I reckon...but yeah not good at all. xx

Already tried that they said you only get 1 weeks gurantee, which i think is quite short for something that coast £16

Me too.... Just don't shop there again.
Try this site, I've had good halogens off them before. I used to use the sylvania flood range - really good coverage. http://www.lightbulbs2u.com/ xx |
