Planning to get a new termostat, any suggestions? I have a habistat just now was ging to get the same but would like some opinions. Also my CHE broke and need replace it I have it at my cool end and only comes on when temps drop below 18c and then my stat kicks in. Question is do I go for ceramic or bulb (infared)? opinions again

Blimey...that's cool for a cool end in the daytime.

I have a habistat dimmer thermostat and I use a Komodo radiant heat CHE - 100w.
One is positioned near the basking area as its still cold first thing in the morning. I have that on for about 2 hours first thing in the morning.
The other one is positioned over the sleeping area - angled back, pointing in. That one only kicks in if the temp drops below 17degrees.
Had no problems with either thermostat or CHE xx

Just to also point out, that I dont just have a ceramic for the basking area. I have a Arcadia combined bulb for the main basking spot. The CHE is just to the side - on a thermostat but provides that additional warmth first thing in the morning.
I have noticed alot recently that Lily will normally aim more to sit under the CHE rather than under the combined. Then he will move in and out of the combined spread once warm. xx

18c is for night time temps
