I've heard really good reports of this so I decided to try it for my two Hermanns. After searching the internet Reptilica seemed to be the only place that sold it so I ordered some of the 'baby' for my yearlings from there too. A day or so after I ordered I found UK alternative suplliers Looked at Urban Tortoise but accrding to the web site eveything was (and still is) out of stock. British Assoc. of Tortoise Keepers also seem to stock it.

Just wondering

Why can't you feed Pre Alpine on its own, why does it have to be mixed with usual food?. In my case plants/weeds. I thought it was plant/weeds.

I was looking for the Baby one but nobody in the uk appears to have that at the moment. Is available via Reptilica but they are in Germany and charge £8 for delivery.

I'll wait till Tortoise Lady or Urban Tortoise have the Baby format of this food.

My bigger ones will often eat the Pre Alpin cobs . But they are not always sure it's food.

Hey got my order off you today ( Pre Alpin fiber & lime powder stuff lol )

Fast delivery thank you. What is the difference with fiber and the herb one? I take it fiber would be better for sulcatas.

Oh one more thing are cobs the same as fiber.

Glad to heaer it arrived safetly and that the post is behaving.
The Fibre one is a loose dried mix which also contains linseed oil. The Herb one is a cob. I personally find the fibre one the easiest and quickest to rehydrate as the herb one takes a little longer.
The fibre one can also be sprinkled onto other food when dry but the cob cannot.
Probably whichever one your tortoise/s prefer. This is why I do small packs so that people can try both and then decide.
THanks

Glad it arrived safetly. Remember to just use a small amount and add to their usual foods. Once they start to eat it they seem to love it, but let them choose at their pace.
Remember that it can take a while for some to like it, so use a little so that you do not waste it. Let us know how you get on.thanks
