Default Pink tinge

After this picture was in the sex/id section it was mentioned that my male thherc has quite a pink tinge to it. Not really sure but thought I would post it on here and ask what you all think.
Last year timmy wasn't a massive weed eater but he did like pellets mixed with some weeds and chopped toms but we restricted his intake of this to 1 or 2,times a week how ever since hibernation he has changed totally and now clears his plate of weeds and has had no pellets and seems a lot more active so I don't think there is much wrong but thought I would ask anyway
I don't want to miss a possible blood problem specially after losing Harriet this year

I don't know what it is but it is odd that when feeding pellets the new growth has a pink tinge. If you look at the tongue I'll bet it is dark pink.
