it can sometimes be a sign of blood poisoning but it can also be other things like what it's been eating or the substrate or even just naturally pinkish

Ohh ok, he was on wood chip but I now know that was wrong so he is on 70/30 top soils playsand mix. Fed mostly on weed but last year before hibernation he also had pellets cause he refused to eat enough weeds to keep his weight up, think he was more interested in Harriet as I mention earlier he did have a fairly large intake of dandelion after munching through a big plant in the garden!

Dan will maybe know if that is normal or what, I don't really know, probably it's okay. maybe post that photo in the tortoise health and vets section and ask if it's normal.

I know that it can be normal on some torts
