Default Cat's-ear (Hypochaeris radicata)

Today's promotion is Cat's-ear. A good tortoise food plant, a nice weed with yellow summer flowers like a delicate dandy and tasty leaves than will often survive through the winter. Thrives in dry grassland and looks good in the garden. Here is a photo of Cat's-ear on the left and a dandy on the right of it for comparison.

We've got loads in our lawn Nic, but you should find it in most grassy areas. Loads easier to spot when flowering, similar to dandie - but daintier and a longer stalk.
