I've used lactulose for a constipated tort, just squirt a bit into the mouth with a tiny syringe ( sorry can't spell it, but you know what I mean lol )

Ok guys this has really freaked me out. I told you about Terri struggling to have a poo. Ive bathed her every day and today was no exeption got her in the bath just now and sat the bowl in the sun as she settles more than bathing in the house.

Terri has been very active, eating well as if nothing has happened to her at all.

Back to the bathing, I sat her in the bath for about 20 minutes whilst I cleared the garden when I came back I found this in the water.

Could this be the cause of the straining. I still havent found any poo. Her stitches are still in place and she ate straight away after her bath so seems fit and healthy. Im going to contact the vet tomorrow and ask if I can email these images to him.

The white stuff is just the kitchen roll i used to pick it up with in the water

OMG that is bizarre , if not weird . Can I ask , how big is it ? I have not got a clue!

Could it be something from the garden, that she's eaten, is it soft or hard ? They do try and eat some odd things sometimes.

My first thought was a slug that she could have eaten. I'm puzzled by its shape though.

Its soft and larger then a ring you would have on your finger, she had an exray and a scan and nothing showed up so Im really baffled. To me it does look fleshy and nothing manufactured, its really weird looking. But she is not effected at all by it, she just carried on eating and climnbing as if nothing has happened.

I always take great care in the garden checking the lawn et

I did give her a drop and I mean a very small drop of lactulose on a bit of cucumber yesterday as I couldnt get any liquid parrafin anywhere, lactulose and liquid parrafin is mentioned on the tortoise trust as a good thing to use when constipation is present

I always take great care in the garden checking the lawn etc for debris Im really baffled

My goodness poor Terri! No wonder she was struggling. That looks like something out of an Alien movie!

Could it be bacon? Do you feed the birds?
