Thanks for the nice comments... all... They seem to be very slow growers. I do hope to post some second generation photos... in the distant future... if I live that long.

Yes we play with them and have had great success. We too have found them to be very slow growers. We have some holdbacks that have not grown much in well over a year. In talking to others, this seems to be normal. They are active and eat, just don't grow much. I have been told at 3-5 years their growth rate increases. Time will tell if that is the case with our holdbacks.

When you get eggs, I have the incubation method down pretty well. Last year I had about 70% hatch rate. This year so far, I am at 100%.

I don't ever expect to get eggs but it is cool having hatched one. I've not heard of any second generation... have you produced any?

The one female has had a steady growth rate throughout.

I have 3 CB females that are producing offspring. I can't see why you wouldn't get eggs from them in the future.
