Fallen Berry?
Florence has eaten one fallen berry which somehow fell into her outdoor enclosure from above. It was a purple round berry which looks like it is attached to 'holly like' leaves. I know that she ate it, because she had it all around her lips! I know that fruit and berries etc. aren't suitable for Horsefield's and in the wild they might eat the occasional fallen berry.
Should I be worried? Thanks,

I would think not, as you said, they would come across things in the wild, if it was poisonous, she wouldn't have eaten it, they know better than us. I can't say 100%, I'm sure someone will be along to help you better than I can xx

Maybe post a picture of the plant it came from?

From the description, I would say its a Mahonia so shouldn't be fed:
http://www.thetortoisetable.org.uk/s....asp?catID=408 The wild birds love the berries and then leave blue poop everywhere! |

Thanks Clare, I'm not sure if that's definitely it. The berries look the same but the leaves look different: probably is though. Thank you for all of your replies.
