What do we get??
We've recently bought a large vivarium on ebay and picked it up last night.
It's 1m x 0.45m x 0.5m and we got it for £6.09 (though we did feel bad picking it up and paying that little...) Now we just have to decide what to get to go in it! We're thinking about froggies, or a leopard gecko, or something else, but we're really unsure. We're going to the Doncaster IHS show on Sunday, so will be looking there, but need to try to plan in advance so we know what equipment to get. We also were thinking about a bearded dragon, but from what others have said they smell... though they are very cute. Does anyone have any suggestions, or what other reptiles/amphibians do you keep? I'd love an Egyptian Uromastyx, but they get too large for us to keep =(

hello,I have whites tree frogs they are fab,but the viv needs to be arboreal.they are not afraid of humans, but you cant handle them due to their delicate skin and they are nocternal
I have a beardie too,he is sooo friendly and loves to be out and loves to be with you, great pet in my opinion but their poo smells absolutely dreadful so it is usually every other day that he does it and you have to get rid of it straight away otherwise the house pongs alll day,I have to hold my breath

Bearded dragons dont smell if you clean them out. They do have smelly poos but I take Izzy's out as soon as she's done it and her viv never smells.
Goodness you did grab a real bargain.........wish I could get one for that. I'd have another snake or another beardie. Mind you there are lots of other little critters I would like.

That froggie is gorge, Jackie
You could get a giant african land snail Even though these pets are a bit gross to some. If you want any more info, PM me!

Have you considered one of the smaller Uromastyx species? I have 2 Moroccan Uros and they are a joy to keep and stay a lot smaller than the Egyptians.
