You wont believe what I found in the garden (Ophidiophobiacs dont look please)
First of all I have reported to the RSPCA and been door to door without success.
I am a lover of native wildlife. I think if you cant appreciate what you have got locally then you are indeed in need of a good day out with me looking for it. So imagine my suprise when I found this It has since been identified as a caramel variety corn snake. It is not a british species and looks like it will be remaining in my care for the time being. Friendly little thing though |

Ah but I have been brought up around wild snakes a lot as a kid. My dad insisted on training us to catch most species of Reptile and such as kids so to me it is not a problem. Now a tarantula and I would be a nightmare

It's good that YOU got it.It's safe with you.If someone else found it,god knows what would've happened to him.It must have escaped so maybe owner comes up soon.

Your wife is like me then.Snakes and spiders.I can watch them when they are safely closed in somewhere only.(And I actually like them then!)Otherwise I don't want to be near them.Too scary.

How big is that corn snake? It looks a fair size. Wondering if it got to adult size and someone let it loose? Edit. Saying that i've looked again and it only looks small. It's FAR to early for my eyes! I thought it was in an old bath like farmers have but now it looks like a feeding dish!
