Update on Lucky
Think we've turned the corner, I fitted a extra lamp with a red low heat bulb which hangs about 7/8 inches above his little hide temps min 23 degrees at night all night, the temps in our house weren't falling really low but on average about 16degrees but he obviously needed to be that bit warmer at night, also been bathed twice a day with reptoboost, Now he's eating again and strongly tussles with it instead of a weak feeble attempt, only curly leaf lettuce at the moment but its a start, I feel so much happier, Thanks again for all your advice xx

That's good news. It's worth trying anything, even at times things that are not advised because nothing is set in stone and not all torts act the same

Hi littletort, Lights come on, UVB at 6am, followed by basking lamp at 7am,temps at basking are 30/32 degrees, both lights goes off about 7pm, and then I also now have a red low light bulb in a lamp about 7/8 inches above his hide on from about 8pm all night keeps temp at around 23/24degrees and I switch that off about 8am, I make sure he has a good soak twice a day as well, which is realy needed with him having the extra night time warmth

I think i might get my table set up on a timer so the lights and heat can come on a bit earlier, i currently switch it all on when i get up at 8ish but my tort still doesnt wake herself up, i usually put her under basking lamp, hmmmm maybe if it was all on earlier she might wake up by herself!! worth a try!!! Really plased your little on is doing better now!! bring on spring thats what i say!!!!
