Odd behaviour
My Female Leopard Honey has been really bolshy today - nudging and butting the others so I decided to put her in the bath around 3.00pm ready to put her in her sleep box.
She lay in the bath really relaxed and then had a wee which had odd coloured bits in it - the next thing she raised her back end and laid an egg !!!! She then had a poo a nice wet Romaine leaf and is now asleep. Last edited by Evie; 15-09-2009 at 05:11 PM. |

Does she have a laying facility as she may be keeping the rest in to dig and lay properly?

I do have an active male - to be honest Tom we decided not to incubate - I do feel sad as I would love the experience of my own hatchling but I have 5 ( 4 I rehomed) and 2 of them have health problems.
I really dont think I am experience enough to go through that and I really do feel stretched with 5. I was frantic when she did start to dig last month - Terrypin was on the chat box and he talked me through the night - she didnt finish until 10.30 - I was so worried. |

Ah right
Maybe you could just keep one egg next time just for the experience? I doubt you will struggle selling it

I have just sent you a pm Bindi x
She seems fine - she is asleep now - it is a worry - just hope she hasn't got anymore - we have just topped up the topsoil in the enclosure but she didn't use it last time so I am not hopeful. |
