New outdoor enclosure
I thought I would post a few pics of the new outdoor enclosure I have built for my Horsfields. It is quite large and my first attempt as using granite to build a wall so was pretty hard but I got there in the end! All the plants in there have been cross referenced with the tortoise table so fingers crossed they are ok.
All seven of my Horsfields are in there now and happily all put themselves to bed tonight, so I am taking that as a good sign. I am working on a net cover for it. Any changes that people think need making or suggestions, please let me know!

Thanks! Can't wait for things to grow in and spread so it's nice and wild.

Very nice. 2 things I noticed though, is that straw in the cold frame? If so I would remove it. It would be far better if your cold frame laid directly on the soil allowing the tortoises to burrow.
Second thing is the steps, is there anything blocking them from climbing them? Otherwise they will likely be up them in a flash

That looks lovely. I also spotted the steps and also the wall at the other end. It doesn't look too high to get up on the wall but then it has quite a drop the other side. I know my eldest tort would have no trouble getting up onto it from the enclosure. Then there's quite a fall on the other side. Just something to bear in mind. It's a great area otherwise.

That's amazing! I'm a newbie looking for inspiration and that is certainly inspirational. A question about cold frames: do they still let the UV light through, or are they simply there to provide some shelter?

No they don't let UV through, they are shelters but being clear plastic they heat up
