From what I can tell they have not developed a chip smaller than a grain of rice... a big grain of rice.
The Bee dots are a carryover from an old bee marking technique. The bee chips are about the same size as the current chips except they are attached to the outside of the bee. If someone has a reference to the smaller chip... I'd like to see it.
