Hey =)
Hey! I've been a sort-of lurker for a while so I thought it might be time to come and introduce myself
My names Stephii, I'm 20 and I live in the East Midlands (Nottingham.) I'm currently training to be a riding instructor but my main goal is to be able to work with more difficult horses. I use a lot of "natural horsemanship" techniques with every horse I work with. I currently have 4 horses. I have 3 oldies and one youngster. The oldest two both have melanomas (cancer) but are happily living out there days in a big field next to my aunties house Rhia - 23 year old, Retired mare. Sophie - 20 year old, Retired rescue mare. Then we have my big old boy, Jimbo - 17 year old. He's semi-retired due to several reasons the main one being Spinal Arthritis and Arthritis in his back legs. He acts like a youngsters most days though despite the year he's had. Then there is Berry. She's only 4 and my latest edition to the herd. She is lovely but came to me in a bit of a state bless her so she's a working progress I then have a Bedlington Terrier called Pudding. Then theres my mum's dog Millie Plus the two lovely black cats, Pixie and Mia. I'm guessing you want to hear most about the tortoises? I currently have 1 leopard tortoise (Geochelone Pardalis Babcocki). She's around 3 and is called Squirt. Eventually we plan on having a little herd in the back garden with a fully heated, equipt, shed for them to live in and then a big outdoor area for summer days. Hopefully soon I'll have a new addition to my little family. A bells Hingeback tortoise. Male, hoping to eventually find him some females too Some photos Jimbo - http://i1212.photobucket.com/albums/...56637980_n.jpg Berry - http://i1212.photobucket.com/albums/...17141207_n.jpg Sophie (in the background) and Rhia (nearest the camera) http://i1212.photobucket.com/albums/...e/DSC_0007.jpg Pudding - http://i1212.photobucket.com/albums/...n/DSC_0335.jpg Millie - http://i1212.photobucket.com/albums/...n/DSC_0237.jpg Runaway Leopard Tortoise (Squirt) - http://i1212.photobucket.com/albums/...t/DSC_0017.jpg |

Thank you for all the welcomes
I didn't realize so many people had Bedlingtons. I rarely see any others and everyone always falls in love with my Pudding. We had a Friesian stallion in to school when I was a student at a yard a couple of months ago. He was lovely. My Jimbo use to boss him about though :P It was funny. They were like an old married couple over the stable doors at each other! |
